By the age of four, my curiosity and desire to utilize fabric as a means of expression had begun. As life changed in all its ways, I grew to perceive Fiber Art as a constant, necessary, and unwavering passion. I experience challenges as I explore the materials, their structure, and their symbiotic relationships. I push myself to explore a variety of materials, whether synthetic or natural fibers, and I escape in the process of creation. I rely on personal insight to develop the relationship between my materials and my experiences, as the materials are brought into a relationship with each other only through technique, united with the exploration of a concept. The concepts that I have based these works on relates to family relationships. Through using repetition of shapes that are united within a form or pattern this exemplifies families resilience and ability to transform through time.
